They are the most common option. This type of orthodontics consists in fixing small anchor points called brackets to the surface of the teeth which are bonded together by a tensor cable. This system allows us to generate a slight traction force that can change both position and orientation of teeth little by little.<\/p>\n

Metallic brackets are a versatile, efficient and economic treatment option that is suitable for the vast majority of orthodontic treatments.<\/p>\n

Ceramic and aesthetic brackets<\/strong><\/p>\n

Functionally identical to metallic brackets. The difference is in the material they are made of, that aims to blend with the natural colour of our teeth. This treatment option offers all the advantages of conventional brackets but is much more discrete.<\/p>\n

Lingual Orthodontics<\/strong><\/p>\n

The main characteristic of this treatment option is that the anchor points are situated on the back of the teeth and are completely concealed by them. They are the least visible brackets available.<\/p>\n

Invisalign<\/strong><\/p>\n

Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment option that replaces brackets with a series of transparent aligners. They consist of thin, transparent, plastic splints that are worn over the teeth. They are custom made for you, and have a slight misalignment that causes the movement we are looking for.<\/p>\n

Invisalign aligners can be removed for eating and cleaning. As their name indicates, the plastic they are made of is completely transparent and virtually invisible over your natural teeth.<\/p>\n

Once finished, the \u201cretention phase\u201d begins in order to prevent your teeth from moving back into their original position. Normally it entails the use of a night splint.<\/p>\n
